Spiritual Practice & weekly classes
Meditation Principles & Practice
facilitated by Rev. Joanne Burns
NEW! 6-week class Tuesdays at 6:30 pm
through November 28
This class focuses on the practice and the experience of various forms of meditation. Benefits of meditation will be explored as well as methods to deal with resistance to it. There will also be helpful tips for developing a regular meditation practice. Practicing the Silence, Unity’s meditation practice, is fundamental and foundational to Unity teachings. Therefore, it will be the primary meditation practice for the duration of the course.
Your willingness to be open to the reality of your meditation practice will be the only way to gain insights for a deeper connection to experiencing a more fulfilling meditation practice. Through personal sharing, the participants will be able to identify and describe any blocks or resistance to daily meditation as well as gain strategies to overcome them.
Class is available for SEE credit = SPD 105) SEE students please see Rev. Jo to discuss the book - Meditation for Dummies by Stephen Bodian.
