Unity Spiritual Center sunset cruise
Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 5 pm to 8 pm
Ahoy, matey! Time to stop being a land lubber and join us on a picturesque sunset cruise around Shell Island complete with full moon and a dolphin or two! We'll meet at Sun Harbor Marina, 5505 Sun Harbor Road, by the Hathaway Bridge Sunday, August 26 at 4:30 pm and set sail on the brand new 46-foot Newton Dive boat named, Miss Jackie.
Food and refreshments will be provided but if you would like to assist with food please see team leader Claudia Gamin to find out more.
The cruise is limited to 40 people (adults and children with a limit of 10 children). No children under 5 allowed.
Ticket prices are $30 for adults; $20 children, ages 5 to 13. You can sign up and purchase tickets in our bookstore.

This is a great time to flex your artistic muscles and tap into your inner artist. Facilitated by award-winning artist, Amanda Stiffler, you will learn basic brush techniques, use of colors and by the end of the evening you will have your very own work of art! This class is open to all ages.
$30 per person fee includes all materials - brushes, paints and canvas!

Movie Nite! "The Buddha"

As a post script to Melissa Arrant's book study, Dharma Discussions, we will be showing the 2010 PBS feature, The Buddha. This fascinating documentary chronicles the life of Siddhartha, a prince, who while living an opulent and sheltered life is suddenly besieged by the pain and suffering of his fellow man. Siddhartha gives up his princely life for that of an ascetic in order to attain enlightenment and free his mind from torment and attachment. He becomes The Buddha and his teachings still provide comfort throughout the world today. Free will love offering.
Interfaith Harmony Council Pot luck

Here's a chance to share your favorite dish with some new friends of different faiths. Sign-up in our lobby and name the dish your going to bring. And when you do bring your dish please list the ingredients so as to alert those with food allergies. The pot luck will be held at Unity Spiritual Center in our sanctuary and friendship room.
