"In every community, there is work to be done.
In every nation, there are wounds to heal.
In every heart, there is the power to do it."
                                        - Marianne Williamson

Unity in the community

Check out our recent Outreach Programs activities. We are working to expand our Outreach ministry as we transition from Hurricane Michael. If you have any suggestions for Outreach ministry, contact our Outreach Chairman, Bill Warner.

WOMEN OF UNITY

"Nothing can dim the light that shines from within." - Maya Angelou.

The Women of Unity group meets monthly at noon on the 3rd Saturday of each month and choose an organization to give donations of goods or cash. In 2019 the Women of Unity helped Hannah's House, Spay Bay, Bay County Library Summer Program for Kids, the Boys and Girls Club, Simply Self Esteem, Heartland Rescue Ranch, Movers for Mom's Mothers Day Program and the American Cancer Society.

"Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened." - Anatole France.

Help us help the animals at Heartland Rescue Ranch. We're collecting dog & cat food, dog & cat bedding, blankets, horse feed and hamster hay (hamster bedding). Heartland is a non-profit organization dedicated to the health, welfare, and survival of neglected, unwanted and abandoned animals. Let the our office know if you are aware of any neglected or abandoned animals.

The First United Methodist kitchen and dining facility was damaged during Hurricane Michael. We'll be back as soon as the facility is re-opened.

Adopt A highway      November 4, 2017

Unity in the CommUNITY volunteers were out on
Saturday, November 4 from 9 am to Noon cleaning up a stretch of Lisneby Avenue from Highway 390 to 23rd Street.
With the help of the Florida Department of Transportation we're taking the time to keep our community looking clean. This is just one small way that Spirit works through us.
But our actions can and do have a greater impact
in the world around us.

day of dignity  September 9, 2017

Picture
Unity Spiritual Center was honored to be a part of the Day of Dignity event on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Bay County Fairgrounds.

Presented and coordinated by the Islamic Relief and CAIR organizations, this giving event served over 450 low-income and homeless persons in the greater Panama City area with free food, clothing, health services, blankets, hygiene kits, ponchos, hair cuts and much more.

For our part we gave out 250 tubes of toothpaste and toothbrushes - not to mention tons of love and blessings. The folks receiving were truly grateful. And we were truly blessed and humbled by their gratitude.
